If you are new to our district, you can register your student online or visit us in person at the HCS Welcome Center, located at 166 Holly Smith Dr. in CMcDonough, to learn more about enrollment and other family and student services prior to starting school

Beginning for the 2025-2026 school year, HCS students in grades K-12 are not permitted to display or use a cell phone, smartwatch, or other electronic communication device on school property during the school day.

Our student-centered budgeting results in a record investment of $14,486 per student with 97% of General Fund expenses directly related to student learning in supportive, safe, and secure learning environments.

Our four-year graduation rate of 89.8% in HCS surpasses the state's record-high of 87.2% for the Class of 2025.

Our starting teacher salary of $53,910 represents a $15,000 increase since 2018 and surpasses the state-allotted minimum starting base salary by more than $10,000.

Our bus drivers earn a starting salary of $22.22/hour and receive a comprehensive benefits package, including paid training, health, dental, and vision insurance, and retirement.
